Leading scientific developments of the department of publishing and editing:
pragmatically oriented monographic study O. Trishchuk "Scientific and information discourse as a socio-communicative phenomenon" (2009):
The development is actively used both in the educational and training process of training the media, and in the field of research and information by researchers of communication problems. It was performed within the research topic "Communication in scientific and scientific-informational spheres", approved by the Academic Council of VPI NTUU "KPI" (Minutes №1 from 24.09.2007).
M. Andriychuk's monograph "Ukrainian-Jewish discourse: coverage of interethnic relations in the printed editions of the Dnieper region (60s of the XIX century - early XX century)" (2011), which describes the publishing business of the Dnieper Ukrainians, highlights the main stages of its development and the influence of political and economic factors on this development is determined;
reference publication "Short Dictionary of General Scientific and Sociocommunicative Terms" (2011, compiled by O. Trishchuk, P. Kyrychok, N. Figol), which combines the most commonly used in modern scientific and media discourse general scientific terms and terms from the theory and practice of social communications;
modern reference edition "Dictionary of erroneous word usage in modern media: right and wrong" (2014, authors: O. Trischuk, N. Figol), which provides the most common mistakes and options for their correction from modern media, which will be useful not only to students, but also to journalists-practitioners in further professional activity;
textbook "Editing scientific and informational text" O. Trishchuk (2013), which reveals the essence of scientific and information activities and its formation in Ukraine, the role of the editor in the processes of processing, storage and dissemination of information;
E. Magda's monographic research (co-authored) "New History of Western Europe and North America (XVII century - 60s of the XIX century)" (2013);
textbook "Language of Ukrainian publications" N. Figol (2014), which provides a thorough theoretical material on the lexical norms of modern Ukrainian literary language, explores the structure and functions of the title complex of modern periodicals, analyzes the features of educational electronic publications. Theoretical positions are illustrated by numerous examples from periodicals and books;
L. Smoly's reference dictionaries (co-authored) "Political Science: an educational encyclopedic dictionary for students" (2014), which covers the analysis of the main categories of political science, and "History of political thought: an educational encyclopedic dictionary for students" (2014) , which presents an analysis of the views of about 600 representatives of domestic and foreign political, political and legal thought.
Employees of the department of VS and R actively involve gifted student youth in scientific work, every year they take an active part in the organization and holding on the basis of VPI KPI. Igor Sikorsky International Scientific and Technical Conference of Students and Postgraduates "Young Printing". The number of scientific articles or abstracts submitted annually to this conference by students and graduate students of the Department of Armed Forces and R is about two dozen.
Students and graduate students of the Department of Armed Forces and R are actively involved in various research and publishing projects and initiatives, in particular, in the framework of training practice on the basis of MIC "Polytechnic" for the production of educational and methodological and scientific literature, Parliamentary Publishing House of Ukraine, "Scientific Thought" , specialized publishing houses "Education", "Higher School", publishing concerns "Pedagogical Press", "School World". Thus, purely by students majoring in "Publishing and Editing" KPI. Igor Sikorsky under the guidance of prof. O. Trischuk at the request of the State Committee for Television and Radio Broadcasting of Ukraine under the program "Ukrainian Book" in 2008 released a visual publication "In the color of youth" (compiled by O. Vishchuk, art editor D. Kholod, ed. N. Figol).
Students of the Department of Publishing and Editing and other departments of the Publishing and Printing Institute of NTUU "KPI" together with German students Fakultat Medien NTWK Leipzig prepared a bilingual publication "Kyiv: a view of the city and education - Leipzig: Einblick in Stadt und Bildung", by order of the State Committee for Television and Radio Broadcasting of Ukraine in 2011
Students of the Department of Armed Forces and R took a direct part in the launch of an innovative grant project - the portal Naukainform for the science park "Kyiv Polytechnic" under the leadership of Art. off O. Rozhena (within the framework of mastering the special training course "Internet Journalism").
The department has a postgraduate course in the specialty 27.00.05 - Theory and history of publishing and editing.
From 2010 to June 2012, the specialized scientific council K26.002.27 on the defense of candidate's dissertations in social communications (scientific secretary I. Pobidash) operated in VPI NTUU "KPI". In 2010-2012, R. Segol (2010), T. Pshenichna (2011), M. Andriychuk (2011), and S. Fialka (2012) defended their dissertations. The vast majority of graduate students and applicants who have completed postgraduate training at the Department of Armed Forces and R, timely defended their dissertations.
Two employees of the department defended their doctoral dissertations. The dissertation "Phenomenon of scientific and information discourse in the field of social communications" for the degree of Doctor of Science in Social Communications was defended in 2009 by the head of the department O. Trishchuk at a meeting of the specialized scientific council D 26.001.34 of Taras Shevchenko National University (scientific consultant prof. V. Rizun). The dissertation "Ukrainian Parliament in the system of political communication" for the degree of Doctor of Political Sciences was defended in 2008 by prof. Department Yu. Ganzhurov (scientific consultant Corresponding Member of NASU M. Mikhalchenko).
Now prof. O. Trishchuk is a member of the specialized scientific council D 26.001.34 of the Taras Shevchenko National University, and prof. Yu. Ganzhurov - member of the specialized scientific council D 26.181.01 of the Institute of Political and Ethnonational Studies named after I. Kuras NAS of Ukraine.
