SCIENTIFIC SCHOOL OF THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLISHING AND EDITING


Scientists and teachers of the graduating department belong to the Kyiv School of Literary Editing and Social Communications, founded by the founder of the department prof. RG Ivanchenko and are traditionally in close research and methodological and practical contacts with employees of media and philological departments of the Institute of Journalism of Taras Shevchenko National University, National University "Kyiv-Mohyla Academy", Lviv National University named after I. Franko, Ukrainian Academy of Printing in Lviv, Institute of Literature. T. Shevchenko NASU, Institute of Linguistics. O. Potebny of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Cherkasy National University named after B. Khmelnytsky, etc.

Today we can talk about the formation of a strong scientific school of the Department of Publishing and Editing, which was formed on a long tradition and meets modern information challenges and high scientific standards. In particular, on March 14, 19 the scientific topic of the department "Social communication approach to editing different types of publications" was approved.

Teachers, graduate students and students of the department develop 4 scientific topics:
1) "Peculiarities of editing different types of publications" (Head - Doctor of Social Communications, Prof. OV Trischuk, performers: Candidate of Philology, Associate Professor Figol NM, Candidate of Philology , Associate Professor Levchuk OM, Candidate of Social Communications Segol RI, Candidate of Social Communications Fialka SB, Assistant Kasyanchuk V.).
2) "Political counseling as a social phenomenon of increasing the effectiveness of mass political communications" (Head: Doctor of Political Science, Prof. Smola LE, performers: Candidate of Political Science, Associate Professor Magda EV, Candidate of History. Lytvyn AV, Candidate of Historical Sciences, Associate Professor Balyun OO, post-graduate students Skorokhod T. and Kysil V.)
3) "Mass communications in the formation of the national memory of Ukrainians" (Head: Ph.D. in social communications, Assoc. Prof. Andriychuk MT, performers: Ph.D. in Philology, Assoc. Prof. Pobidash IL, Candidate of Philology, Associate Professor Yanishevsky, Senior Lecturer Golovko OA).
4) "Tools of asymmetric response to hybrid aggression in the humanitarian sphere" (Head: Gusak OO, performers: Fisenko TV, Kirichok AP).

The sphere of scientific interests of the teachers of the department is the study of theoretical and practical problems of social communications, coverage of current issues of different types of text in the modern information space, journalism, communication in scientific and scientific-informational spheres, editorial activity, publishing.

The main directions of scientific activity of the department of VS and R:

    theoretical and methodological support of communication processes of scientific and information sphere;
    interactivity of mass communication, its non-rhetorical aspect;
    linguodidactic support of modern media education, media pedagogy;
    problems of professional ethics of the media sphere, its intra-categorical stability and terminological organization.

The department has scientific groups with:

    Theory and Sociology of Social Communications - Head Doctor of Sciences in Social Communications, Professor Trischuk OV
    of professional ethics of the media sphere - supervisor Candidate of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor Levchuk OM
    languages ​​of mass media - head Candidate of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor Figol NM

An important component of the department is participation in theoretical and scientific-practical conferences, seminars on scientific problems, as well as the organization on the basis of the department of scientific events with the participation of teachers and scientists from other universities of Ukraine. Thus, in 2012 and 2014 the All-Ukrainian scientific-practical conference "Roman Ivanchenko's Scientific School" was organized, where, in particular, such thematic areas related to publishing and PR activities as "Features of modern mass communication", "Use of the latest technologies in the preparation of media products "," Advertising and PR-communication in the modern world ".

Young scientists, graduate students, students take an active part in the annual International Scientific and Technical Conference of Students and Postgraduates "Young Printing", where successful sections related to the areas of scientific work of the department.
