Students and graduate students of the Department of Armed Forces and R are actively involved in various research and publishing projects and initiatives, in particular, in the framework of training practice on the basis of MIC "Polytechnic" for the production of educational and methodological and scientific literature, Parliamentary Publishing House of Ukraine, "Scientific Thought" , specialized publishing houses "Education", "Higher School", publishing concerns "Pedagogical Press", "School World".

Thus, purely by students majoring in "Publishing and Editing" KPI. Igor Sikorsky under the guidance of prof. O. Trischuk at the request of the State Committee for Television and Radio Broadcasting of Ukraine under the program "Ukrainian Book" in 2008 released a visual publication "In the color of youth" (compiled by O. Vishchuk, art editor D. Kholod, ed. N. Figol).

In 2011, students of the Department of Publishing and Editing and other departments of the Publishing and Printing Institute of NTUU "KPI" together with German students Fakultat Medien NTWK Leipzig prepared a bilingual publication "Kyiv: a view of the city and education - Leipzig: Einblick in Stadt und Bildu », Which was issued by order of the State Committee for Television and Radio Broadcasting of Ukraine.

Young scientists, graduate students, students of the Department of Armed Forces and P take an active part in the annual International Scientific and Technical Conference of Students and Postgraduates "Young Printing", where they successfully work in sections related to research activities of the department.

In addition, students of the department take an active part in various competitions of student research papers. Also, students take part in all-Ukrainian competitions. Zokema Snisar Dmytro won the second stage of the All-Ukrainian Student Olympiad in the nomination "The best visual solution of the PR-campaign", which took place on April 4-5, 2019 at Dnipro National University.
