On October 28, 2016, the IV International Scientific and Practical Conference "Roman Ivanchenko Scientific School" took place in the walls of VPI NTUU "KPI".
This year's conference brought together almost 40 scientists from 10 educational institutions, including Berdyansk State Pedagogical University, the Institute of Journalism of Taras Shevchenko National University, the Institute of Linguistics. OO Potebny, National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, University of Lodz (Poland), Academician S. Demyanchuk International University of Economics and Humanities, Mariupol State University, NTUU “KPI named after I. Sikorsky », Lesia Ukrainka East European National University, Cherkasy National University named after Bohdan Khmelnytsky, Uzhhorod National University.
Scholars communicated within the sections "History and modern problems of publishing and editing", "Features of mass modern communication", "Advertising and PR-communication in printing, publishing and book distribution", as well as a special section "Ivan Franko: editor, publisher, publicist".
At the session, important professional and educational issues were raised in the reports of Segol Radmila Ihorivna, Ph.D. from soc. com., associate professor of publishing and editing "Mixed education in the training of specialists in publishing and editing"; Levchuk Olena Mykolayivna Candidate of Philology. Ph.D., Associate Professor of Publishing and Editing "Transitional Trends in Global Media: The Editorial Aspect"; Fisenko Tetyana Viktorivna Ph.D. from soc. com., senior lecturer at the Department of Publishing and Editing "Internet communication during the Ukrainian-Russian confrontation."
Very interesting was the speech of the guest of the conference Rostislav Semkiv - director of the publishing house "Torch", translator, writer, literary critic, c. at. Director of the Book Institute, member of the jury of the BBC Book of the Year competition, lecturer at the Kyiv-Mohyla Academy. R. Semkiv shared with the conference participants his thoughts on the current state of the publishing industry.
Finally, the poetic compliment was a wonderful performance of the participants of the folklore and theater studio Kvartfolk.
